Vintage Silk Hemp Riding Oiled Jacket Burgundy

Based on British rainwear, with the original pattern shortened into a slightly longer, coverall like balance. The waist belt is removed, and pockets are slightly larger and positioned lower.
The fabric pairs a cotton silk blended warp yarn with an extra thick hemp weft, densely woven into a heavy duck cloth. An oil coating finish penetrates deep into the fabric during finishing, creating a unique texture that combines the quality of the raw materials with the depth of the oil treatment.
Lined in a brown check pattern from Lovat, with cotton corduroy collar facing from Brisbane Moss. Finished with riri zipper and Fiocchi snaps.
Natural aging effects such as creases and abrasions are reproduced. Each piece varies slightly in texture, colour, and size due to garment washing.
