Vintage Silk Custom N 3B Flight Jacket Sage

Compact hooded parka in silk cotton double cloth

Based on the N-3B. The fur around the hood has been removed, and the hood itself is designed smaller and more compact than the original, lined in baby alpaca boa. The shoulder line is angled to create a clean raglan sleeve, chest pockets reduced in size, and snap buttons reduced to one. The silhouette is widened through the body and shortened in length.

Cut from an ultra high density silk cotton double cloth, lined in silk nylon washer taffeta. The body lining uses a sliver knit boa made from a mix of baby alpaca and merino wool, treated with shrink resist processing to prevent felting and preserve texture over time. Finished with an Asahi zipper, Spanish baby calf leather pull tab and hard twist cotton ribbing.

The nylon is processed using silk's characteristics to express a mint condition vintage look. Each piece will vary in texture, colour, size and degree of distress due to garment processing.
