ISSU ISSU × Barbara Postiasi: A Dialogue Between Wood and Earth

In a limited edition of five side tables, oiled local spruce and handcrafted Raku ceramics merge into objects that blur the boundary between functionality and sculpture. ISSU ISSU, known until now for its bold and vivid approach to colour, takes a quieter direction in this collaboration. For the first time, classical tones come to the fore, the label's familiar silhouettes gain a new and surprising depth through the tactile quality of the Raku surfaces. "Stepping away from loud colours lets the material and the craft speak even more powerfully for themselves," says the ISSU ISSU design team.

The ceramic elements bear the signature of Barbara Postiasi. Raised in Austria and now living in Zurich, the artist has a deep connection to the element of earth. Her work is shaped by the Raku firing technique, a process that calls for a willingness to fail and a joy in experimentation. Postiasi's forms draw on universal, cross-cultural traditions, carrying the visible traces of their making.

Vernissage Invitation

The evening will be accompanied by an apéro with Blume Wein, a Zurich wine merchant representing small producers who craft living, sustainable wines with care and craft.
