No213 Indigo Palaka Denim Jacket Check

Inspired by indigo check patterns created by Japanese Americans in Hawaii during the 1920s, this piece reflects a fusion of traditional Japanese aesthetics and early American workwear. The silhouette references period S213 designs, with a slightly lowered yoke and a lower-set left chest pocket to improve balance, comfort, and historical accuracy.

The fabric is an 11oz lightweight denim woven from a mix of rope-dyed indigo uneven yarns and natural-color uneven yarns, forming a distinctive parachute check pattern. Varied yarn shapes create subtle surface irregularities that enhance its vintage texture. Finished with original iron tack buttons, each piece is hand-processed to reproduce natural fading and aged blue tones. Variations in color, texture, and wear are an intentional part of the design, making every garment unique.
