Carl Auböck is on of the most influential figures of Austrian modernism. After working as an apprentice bronze worker and engraver for his family business in the early 1900′s he went on to study at the renewed Bauhaus under Johannes Itten. In the 1940ties he took over his family’s metal workshop in Vienna - that still nowadays houses the family business. The designs are sold worldwide and have gained a cult following.
