Vintage Silk Light B-15C Flight Jacket Brown

Modeled on the original mid-century B-15C nylon flight jacket. Shoulder slope adjusted for a natural wearable shoulder while keeping the characteristic curved sleeve line of the original. Generous body width with a tightly gathered compact rib hem that pulls the shape inward, giving it a rounded blouson silhouette. Slightly shortened length with minimal front to back hem difference for better comfort and balance, especially zipped up.

Shell is an ultra high density silk cotton double cross. Silk span yarn brings a low gloss sophistication and fluid movement, while the densely woven cotton holds the structure. Special dyeing techniques tone down the shine and soften the hand, landing somewhere close to aged nylon but with the feel of natural fibre. Lined in silk nylon washed taffeta, lightweight and breathable with a subtle lustre that plays off the shell and recalls the feel of vintage military linings.

Asahi zipper with a baby calf leather tab. Original thick nylon herringbone tape with oxygen tab. Compact yarn rib at cuffs and hem.

Each piece is individually hand finished by artisans to reflect the aging, dirt, and colour shift you'd find on an authentic 50+ year old flight jacket. The silk brings a depth and irregularity that synthetic fabrics can't touch, making every piece feel vintage and one of a kind at the same time.
