Vintage Silk L-2B Flight Jacket Purple

This jacket reimagines the USAF L-2B for everyday wear, removing epaulettes for a cleaner, more minimal silhouette. An angled shoulder line and reshaped sleeves create a natural, ergonomic fit that improves mobility and comfort. The body width is relaxed for better layering while retaining the L-2B’s signature cropped length, and an internal pocket is added for discreet functionality.

The shell is made from ultra-high-density silk–cotton double cross, combining silk span and thick cotton yarns for a soft hand, subtle luster, and balanced durability. A special dyeing process reduces surface gloss, delivering depth with a refined matte finish. The lining is a double-woven satin with rayon warp and reverse-brushed carded wool weft, providing warmth, drape, and insulation beyond the original L-2B’s seasonal range. Finished with an Asahi zipper with baby calf leather pull tab, heavy-duty nylon herringbone tape, and compact ribbing. Each piece is hand-treated to recreate nuanced aging, with soft, complex wear patterns unique to silk-based fabric.
